Facts

Mt. Everest in the Tibeten language is called Chomo Lungma which means "Goddess Mother".  It is in the Himalayas which are in Asia.   Mt. Everest is the highest mountain in the world.

K2 is the second highest mountain.  It is also known as Mount Godwin Austen.  It is also in the Himalayas.

Mt. McKinley is located in Alaska.  It is the highest mountain in North America.  It is named after President William McKinley in 1986.   The Native Americans know it as Denali ("the highest one").

Makalu is the fifth highest mountain in the world.  It is 27,775 feet.  It is in the Himalayas, in Nepal.
