Courses

There are many tracks and courses.  Some are very bumpy.  There are half-pipe courses and trick courses.  There are also speed courses.  They contain enough twists, turns, and jumps to test all the riding skills.  At the start, riders must have their front wheels against the starting board, or gate, and firmly on the ground.  The riders start at the top of the hill or ramp and ride down it in lanes.  The dirt track's average length is over 1000 feet.   Some races last only 35-45 seconds.
